Experience
Richard Cooke is a partner in the Construction, Planning and Environment team. Richard has worked as in-house Counsel to a large international contractor, worked in-house with a substantial public sector infrastructure client and was a partner in a leading City construction team for a number of years.
Richard has broad experience of most aspects of the construction industry, across a variety of industry sectors. Richard has experience of some of the largest projects in the UK and internationally. He represents clients from all sides of the industry and his work includes helping clients structure projects, procurement and contract documentation; helping guide parties through difficulties arising on live contracts; and handling disputes across all forums when they arise.
Richard has a wide experience of handling a range of different disputes across all dispute forum. He has been instructed on a number of high value, high-profile cases within the UK and internationally. In addition to his wide construction expertise, Richard has experience across a diverse range of areas including product design/product manufacture, telecoms, environmental, transport (especially rail and air), offshore and business outsourcing.
